Prevent CPD

Gooseberry Prevent CPD is an e-learning course that covers the duty on schools under S. 26 of the UK Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 to have “due regard” to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.  It is sold on annual licences based on the number of users and is updated annually to include up to date statistics which highlight the essential role that education plays in safeguarding young people through Prevent.  It is in the English language.

£299 per school for up to 100 users. Additional users £2.99 each.

Number of Staff Licences

Staff can access the course online (including on an app on mobile phones) via 7 accessible modules.  Each module is followed by a short assessment, to check understanding.  They may re-visit the modules as often as they wish to improve or refresh their scores and knowledge.

Results are available to Designated Safeguarding Leads or Head Teachers to check that the course has been completed and identify any areas of weakness.  On successful completion, staff obtain a certificate.  There is a refresher quiz to be completed three months after the main course has been completed.
